Why Sell ?

Primary reason is for the separation of our marriage after a good many years together, we both need to move on. Arawishka has been part of our dreams and certainly kept us very busy for the last 14 years.

Arawishka isn’t just a property, it’s a legacy. The main house, outbuildings, the orchids, pitahaya- they’ve all absorbed stories. Now they wait a new storyteller.

We have not accepted Airbnb bookings since Jan 2022, but everything has been kept in pristine order.

Owner

Nora

Originally born near here, she came back 50 years later, envisaged more than a home, she saw a sanctuary, every development bears her touch.

Equally important was her knowledge of how to inspire the workman to fulfil those dreams, all under her watchful eye.

Owner

James

James, with a lifelong dedication to construction and finishing, has shaped houses and dreams. His knowledge of Latin America helped with planning projects that came to life.

Arawishka bears the silent imprint of his craftsmanship- a legacy etched into every nook and cranny.

Caretaker

Jaime

Jaime is the unsung hero of Arawishka and has been with us since the start 14 years ago and has participated in just about everything, maintenance, construction, installation, security, public relations.

He is left alone for 2-3 months a year and has been successfully running everything by himself for the last 6 months.

Transitioning ownership can be complex I would suggest that he carries on for a while (or remains) so that he can show the new owners the finer points or intricacies of running the Fundo.
